In accordance with the West Grey Procedural Bylaw, each delegation shall be limited in speaking to not more than ten minutes, and presentations that are requested by council shall have a time limit as determined between the clerk and the presenter.

In accordance with the West Grey Procedural Bylaw, comments may be made to council with respect to a specific agenda item. A maximum of two minutes per person is allotted for comments, with a maximum of ten minutes in total for the comment period.

    Be it resolved that West Grey staff prepare a plan for supporting downtown businesses with the removal of out-of-date business signs.

  • Recommendation:

    Whereas the Saugeen Municipal Airport provides little benefit to West Grey; and

    Whereas West Grey must give one year's notice before exiting the partnership;

    Be it resolved that staff invite the Saugeen Municipal Airport executive to demonstrate why West Grey should not leave the partnership.

  • Recommendation:

    That the minutes of the regular council meeting of September 7, 2021 are hereby adopted as circulated.

  • Recommendation:

    That council consider, during the 2022 budget process, allocating $10,000 for a consultant firm to complete a traffic study for Saddler Street East, and further

    That council consider, during the 2022 budget process, allocating $7,500 for the development of a traffic calming plan.

  • Recommendation:

    That report CAO-Amendment to Statutory Holidays Schedule, Policy D-1.5 be received; and further

    That council approves amending the West Grey Personnel Policy D-1.5 (Statutory Holidays) to include September 30, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (National Orange Shirt Day).

In accordance with the West Grey Procedural Bylaw members may request clarification or updates on previous agenda items.

    That the council of the Municipality of West Grey hereby supports the request of the Ontario Coalition of Better Child Care and CUPE Ontario to proclaim October 21, 2021 to be Child Care Worker and Early Childhood Educator Appreciation Day in the Municipality of West Grey; and

    That this proclamation be posted on the municipal website, shared on social media and forwarded to the Ontario Coalition for Better Child Care.

  • Recommendation:

    That the Council of the Municipality of West Grey hereby supports the resolution of the City of Woodstock dated July 15, 2021 wherein they call upon the Honourable Doug Ford, Premier of Ontario, to bring together the Ministry of the Attorney General, the Ministry of Health, The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing and the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services to immediately work together of both short and long term solutions, complete with funding, to take proper responsibility and action to address the affordable housing, homelessness and addictions crisis; and

    that this resolution of support be circulated to the Honourable Bill Walker, Bruce Grey Owen Sound MPP and AMO.

In accordance with the West Grey Procedural Bylaw, comments are not debatable, nor shall they introduce new business. Comments shall be limited to five minutes per member.
