In accordance with the West Grey Procedural Bylaw each delegation shall be limited in speaking to not more than ten minutes, and presentations that are requested by council shall have a time limit as determined between the clerk and the presenter.

In accordance with the West Grey Procedural Bylaw comments may be made to council with respect to a specific agenda item. A maximum of two minutes per person is allotted for comments, with a maximum of ten minutes in total for the comment period.

  • Recommendation:

    That the minutes of the public meeting of May 16, 2022, and regular council meeting of May 17, 2022 are hereby approved as circulated.

  • Recommendation:

    That council receive Planner Spencer’s report;

    That council hereby declares the identified unopened road allowance south of Road 21 and Baseline surplus to the needs of the municipality; and

    That council directs staff to proceed with the disposition of lands, pursuant to the municipality’s land disposal by-law.

  • Recommendation:

    That council receive Planner Spencer’s report;

    That council does not declare the lands surplus to the needs of the municipality;

    That council supports a zoning by-law amendment to permit development on the subject lands provided a non-service agreement is registered on title;

    That development be subject to certain conditions; and

    That council direct staff to advise of the zoning process to the interested party.

  • Recommendation:

    That council receive report “Community Services - Glenelg Hall Lease Follow Up” for information and;

    That council provide direction to staff regarding a temporary lease agreement between the Corporation of the Municipality of West Grey and Edgehill Country School.

  • Recommendation:

    That council receive report “Community Services – R Zone Policy” for information and;

    That council consider adoption of the policy during the bylaw portion of the meeting.

  • Recommendation:

    That council receive report “Community Services - Support for Durham Homecoming” for information, and;

    That council assist with the cost of the Durham homecoming 2022 insurance premium through a grant of $____ (as per bylaw 95-2021), and;

    That council provide direction regarding the attached requests from Durham Homecoming Committee, which are outside the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding.

In accordance with the West Grey Procedural Bylaw members may request clarification or updates on previous agenda items.

  • Recommendation:

    That bylaw 51-2022, being a bylaw to provide a policy for the distribution and sale of West Grey garbage bag tags, be read a first, second and third and final time. 

  • Recommendation:

    That bylaw 55-2022, being a bylaw to provide for the adoption of the estimates of all sums required during the year, to strike the tax rates, and to provide for penalty and interest in default of payment thereof for the year 2022, be read a first, second and third and final time. 

  • Recommendation:

    That bylaw 56-2022, being a bylaw to authorize a policy to prohibit vandalism, violence or indecency, including viewing, producing or exhibiting lewd, illegal or offensive materials on municipal properties, or in municipal facilities, be read a first, second and third and final time. 

  • Recommendation:

    That bylaw 57-2022, being a bylaw to confirm the proceedings of council, be read a first, second and third and final time.

  • Recommendation:

    That Bylaw 58-2022, being a bylaw to authorize a site plan control agreement, be read a first, second and third and final time.

  • Recommendation:

    That Bylaw 59-2022, being a bylaw to authorize a site plan control agreement, be read a first, second and third and final time.

  • Recommendation:

    That Bylaw 60-2022, being a bylaw to authorize a site plan control agreement, be read a first, second and third and final time.

  • Recommendation:

    That Bylaw 61-2022, being a bylaw to authorize a site plan control agreement, be read a first, second and third and final time.

In accordance with the West Grey Procedural Bylaw, comments are not debatable, nor shall they introduce new business. Comments shall be limited to five minutes per member.

  • Recommendation:

    That the Council of the Municipality of West Grey does now go into a closed session at _____ a.m./p.m., with the CAO, Director of Finance/Treasurer and Director of Legislation/Clerk for the purpose of receiving advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose.

  • Recommendation:

    That we do now adjourn at _______ a.m./p.m., to meet again on June 21, 2022 or at the call of the chair.
