In accordance with the West Grey Procedural Bylaw each delegation shall be limited in speaking to not more than ten minutes, and presentations that are requested by council shall have a time limit as determined between the clerk and the presenter.

In accordance with the West Grey Procedural Bylaw comments may be made to council with respect to a specific agenda item. A maximum of two minutes per person is allotted for comments, with a maximum of ten minutes in total for the comment period.

  • Recommendation:

    That the minutes of the public meeting of May 2, 2022, and regular council meeting of May 3, 2022 are hereby approved as circulated.

  • Recommendation:

    That council receive Planner Spencer’s report

    That council hereby declares the identified road allowance immediately west of the Concession 2 WGR road deviation surplus to the needs of the municipality; and

    That council directs staff to proceed with the disposition of lands, pursuant to the municipality’s land disposal by-law.

  • Recommendation:

    That council receive Planner Spencer’s report;

    That council hereby declares the identified road allowance adjacent to the depth of 232950 concession 2 WGR (Normanby) surplus to the needs of the municipality; and

    That council directs staff to proceed with the disposition of lands, pursuant to the municipality’s land disposal by-law.

  • Recommendation:

    That council receive Planner Spencer’s report; and

    That council hereby declares the identified road allowances known as Glenelg Street and Elgin Street, identified as PIN 37239-149 and PIN 37239-150, Priceville in the geographic township of Glenelg, surplus to the needs of the municipality; and

    That council directs staff to proceed with the disposition of lands, pursuant to the municipality’s land disposal bylaw.

  • Recommendation:

    That council approves using funds from the Canada Community Building Fund (CCBF) to expand the 2022 capital projects program by adding and completing the following projects:

    • Concession 2 EGR - Hot Mix from Durham Road East to Northline approx. 1.8 k.m. – up to $150,000
    • Concession 12 Normanby – pavement preservation from Grey Road 3 to Sd. Rd. 25 approximately 4 k.m. – up to $90,000
    • Meux Creek gabion wall repair Neustadt – up to $80,000

    And further, that council approves transferring $150,000 levy from the surface treatment account to the loose top maintenance operating budget;

    And further that $150,000 from the CCBF be placed in the surface treatment capital account.

In accordance with the West Grey Procedural Bylaw members may request clarification or updates on previous agenda items.

  • Recommendation:

    That bylaw 48-2022, being a bylaw to impose special annual drainage rates upon land in respect of which money is borrowed under the Tile Drainage Act, be read a first, second and third and final time.

  • Recommendation:

    That bylaw 49-2022, being a bylaw to assume lands known as MacDonald Crescent into the Municipality of West Grey roads system, be read a first, second and third and final time.

  • Recommendation:

    That bylaw 50-2022, being a bylaw to assume lands identified as road allowance within Phase 2, 3 and 4 of Marshall Heights subdivision into the Municipality of West Grey roads system, be read a first, second and third and final time.

  • Recommendation:

    That bylaw 51-2022, being a bylaw to authorize a vendor distribution agreement between the Corporation of the Municipality of West Grey and 13882390 Canada Inc. carrying on business as Colpepper's, be read a first, second and third and final time.

  • Recommendation:

    That bylaw 52-2022, being a bylaw to amend Schedule A to Bylaw 73-2013 to add stop signs at Saddler Street and Albert Street South, be read a first, second and third and final time.

  • Recommendation:

    That Bylaw No. 53-2022, being a bylaw to amend zoning Bylaw No. 37-2006, for lands known as Part Lot 28, Concession 1 EGR; Registered Plan 16R-7280; PT 2 in the geographic township of Glenelg, in the Municipality of West Grey, be read a first, second and third and final time.

  • Recommendation:

    That bylaw 54-2022, being a bylaw to confirm the proceedings of council, be read a first, second and third and final time.

In accordance with the West Grey Procedural Bylaw, comments are not debatable, nor shall they introduce new business. Comments shall be limited to five minutes per member.

  • Recommendation:

    That the Council of the Municipality of West Grey does now go into a closed session at _____ a.m./p.m., with the CAO and Clerk for the purpose of addressing a position, plan, procedure, criteria or instruction to be applied to negotiations carried on or to be carried on by or on behalf of the municipality or local board, and to address a proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the municipality. 

  • Recommendation:

    That we do now adjourn at _______ a.m./p.m., to meet again on June 7, 2022 or at the call of the chair.
