In accordance with the West Grey Procedural Bylaw each delegation shall be limited in speaking to not more than ten minutes, and presentations that are requested by council shall have a time limit as determined between the clerk and the presenter.

In accordance with the West Grey Procedural Bylaw comments may be made to council with respect to a specific agenda item. A maximum of two minutes per person is allotted for comments, with a maximum of ten minutes in total for the comment period.

  • Recommendation:

    That CBO report – 2022 Q2 Building Department Activity be received for information.

  • Recommendation:

    That report “Request to name corporate asset: Heritage Walkway Bridge” be received for information.

    That all boards, committees, commissions, that receive monies from the West Grey Taxpayer budget, be recorded and uploaded to the municipal website, to be transparent. This will commence in January 2023.

  • Recommendation:

    That West Grey council rescind the Trailer License Bylaw, known as Bylaw 73-2016 and amending Bylaw 8-2018.

  • Recommendation:

    That the Council of the Municipality of West Grey does now go into a closed session at _____ p.m., with the CAO/Deputy Clerk and Manager of Planning and Development for the purpose of a proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the municipality or local board; and for the purpose of addressing personnel matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees.

  • Recommendation:

    That council receive report: “Municipal Election, Appointment of Grey County Compliance Audit Committee for the 2022 to 2026 term of council”; and

    That council enacts a by-law to appoint individuals to the Grey County Compliance Audit Committee for the 2022 – 2026 term of council, as recommended by the Grey County clerks.

  • Recommendation:

    That report CAO-Owen Sound Police Costing correspondence be received, and further

    That staff be directed to proceed with the proposal received to date.

  • Recommendation:

    That council approves entering into a Connecting Link Agreement with Owen Sound Highway Maintenance Limited for the 2022/2023 winter season at a cost of $21,450.66 plus HST; and

    That the bylaw be approved at a future council meeting.

In accordance with the West Grey Procedural Bylaw members may request clarification or updates on previous agenda items.

  • Recommendation:

    That Bylaw 78-2022, being a bylaw to authorize entering into a no demand for municipal services site plan agreement, be read a first, second and third and final time.

  • Recommendation:

    That Bylaw 79-2022, being a bylaw to confirm the proceedings of council, be read a first, second and third and final time.

  • Recommendation:

    That Bylaw 80-2022, being a bylaw to appoint the Grey County Compliance Audit Committee for the 2022 to 2026 term of council, be read a first, second and third and final time.

  • Recommendation:

    Moved by Councillor Hamilton 

    Whereas September 30th is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a day to honour survivors of residential schools and the children who never returned home; and

    Whereas September 30th is also Orange Shirt Day, an Indigenous-led grassroots movement intended to raise awareness of the inter-generational impacts of residential schools and to promote the concept of “Every Child Matters”;

    Therefore be it resolved that the Municipality of West Grey fly the "Every Child Matters Flag" for the last week of September annually.

In accordance with the West Grey Procedural Bylaw, comments are not debatable, nor shall they introduce new business. Comments shall be limited to five minutes per member.

  • Recommendation:

    That the Council of the Municipality of West Grey does now go into a closed session at _____ p.m., with the CAO/Deputy Clerk and Manager of Planning and Development for the purpose of advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose.
