  • Recommendation:

    The Council of the Municipality of West Grey does now go into a closed session at ____ p.m., with the CAO/deputy clerk, director of administration/clerk and manager of planning and development for the purpose of addressing matters pertaining to a position, plan, procedure, criteria or instruction to be applied to any negotiations carried on or to be carried on by or on behalf of the municipality or local board.

  • Recommendation:

    That West Grey council adjourns at ____ p.m. for the purpose of proceeding into a public meeting, pursuant to section 34 of the Planning Act to review a proposed amendment to West Grey zoning bylaw no. 37-2006.

  • That report COVID-19 Municipal Operations Update be received for information.

  • That council receives report Correspondence distribution protocol for information.

    The Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of West Grey hereby supports the resolution of the Township of Baldwin dated February 1, 2021 wherein they request the Province of Ontario to reconsider the decision to close the Ontario Fire College located in Gravenhurst, Ontario.

  • Recommendation:

    That council hereby adopts the minutes of the special council meeting of February 23, 2021 and the regular council meeting of March 2, 2021, as circulated.

  • Recommendation:

    That the Budget Variance Reporting Police Number T-01-13 be received for information.

  • Recommendation:

    That council receives the Concession 2 WGR Project Status Report for information.

  • Recommendation:

    That council receives the report Roles and Responsibilities of West Grey Emergency Control Group for information.

  • Recommendation:

    That the Council of the Municipality of West Grey gives first, second and third and final reading to Bylaw No.14-2021, being a bylaw to authorize the sale of municipal land to Stanley Whitehead and Marcie Whitehead.

  • Recommendation:

    That the Council of the Municipality of West Grey gives first, second and third and final reading to Bylaw No.15-2021, being a bylaw to authorize a Memorandum of Understanding between the County of Grey, the Municipality of Grey Highlands, the Town of Hanover, the Municipality of Brockton, and the Municipality of West Grey for the implementation of a public transportation service.

  • Recommendation:

    That the Council of the Municipality of West Grey gives first, second and third and final reading to Bylaw No. 16-2021, being a bylaw to govern the proceedings of council and committees of council.

  • Recommendation:

    That the Council of the Municipality of West Grey gives first, second and third and final reading to Bylaw No. 17-2021, being a bylaw to confirm the proceedings of the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of West Grey.

  • Recommendation:

    That the Council of the Municipality of West Grey gives first, second and third and final reading to Bylaw No. 18-2021, being a bylaw to deem certain lots no longer be registered lots on a plan of subdivision. 

  • Recommendation:

    Whereas West Grey Council and staff recently received a presentation regarding film plastic recycling and polystyrene (styrofoam) recycling;

    Whereas many municipalities across Grey and Bruce are providing this service at a reasonable cost;

    Whereas diverting waste by recycling film plastic and polystyrene will extend the life of West Grey landfills and prevent plastics from polluting our environment;

    Therefore be it resolved that staff provide the cost of implementing film plastic recycling and the cost of implementing polystyrene (Styrofoam) recycling for council’s consideration at the next scheduled budget meeting.

  • Recommendation:

    Whereas the Carnegie Library was built in 1912 in the Town of Durham following receipt of a grant from the Carnegie Foundation for the construction of a free, public library;

    Whereas the municipality designated the Carnegie Library as a heritage building;

    Whereas the municipality declared the property surplus to the needs of the municipality and listed the property for sale;

    Therefore be it resolved that the net proceeds from the sale of the Carnegie Library be directed to a new reserve “Municipal Capital Facility Reserve – Library”

     

  • Recommendation:

    That we do now adjourn at _______ p.m., to meet again on March 30, 2021 at 9 a.m. or at the call of the chair.
