  • Recommendation:

    That the minutes of the regular council meeting and the public meeting of June 15, 2021  and the special council  meeting of June 22, 2021 are hereby approved as circulated.

  • Recommendation:

    That council direct staff to negotiate and enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Durham Homecoming Committee to receive event, logistics and financial services support from the municipality for the 2022 Homecoming event; and

    That council approve the request from the Homecoming Committee for an interest-free loan of $50,000 to be repaid from the Homecoming Committee’s fundraising proceeds; and

    That council approve support through the community grants program to assist with the cost of the 2022 Durham Homecoming insurance premium.

  • Recommendation:

    That report West Grey Police Services Building Update be received for information.

  • Recommendation:

    That council provides direction on the amount of the donation to the Centre Grey Health Services Foundation for the Markdale Hospital Project, including the sources for funding and timing of the donation.

  • Recommendation:

    That council approve the tender award to the Murray Group Limited in the amount of $619,056.05 for paving of Concession 2 WGR and;

    That council approve that a guardrail system be installed on Concession 2 WGR, at the “S” bend with the remaining funds from the Enbridge paving budget.

  • Recommendation:

    THAT council receive the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) for Lantz Bridge report for information.

  • Recommendation:

    THAT council receive the West Grey Landfill Operations Update for information.

  • Recommendation:

    That bylaw 51-2021, being a bylaw to amend zoning bylaw 37-2006, be read a first, second and third and final time.

  • Recommendation:

    That bylaw 52-2021, being a bylaw to authorize a site plan agreement, be read a first, second and third and final time.

  • Recommendation:

    That bylaw 53-2021, being a bylaw to authorize a site plan agreement, be read a first, second and third and final time.

  • Recommendation:

    That bylaw 54-2021, being a bylaw to remove certain lands from part lot control, be read a first, second and third and final time.

  • Recommendation:

    That bylaw 56-2021, being a bylaw to enter into a revised Community Safety and Well-Being Plan agreement, be read a first, second and third and final time.

  • Recommendation:

    That bylaw 57-2021, being a bylaw to dedicate lands as a public highway, be read a first, second and third and final time.

  • Recommendation:

    That bylaw 58-2021, being a bylaw to regulate the distribution, use, and rates of the Neustadt and Durham water and sewer systems be read a first, second and third and final time.

  • Recommendation:

    That bylaw 59-2021, being a bylaw to confirm the proceedings of council, be read a first, second and third and final time.

  • Recommendation:

    Whereas the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) is inviting applicants from non-Board members to their Standing Committees for a one-year term;

    Whereas Councillor Hamilton would like to be considered for one of two standing committees, either the Environmental Issues and Sustainable Development or the Increasing Women’s Participation in Municipal Government;

    Whereas FCM requires a resolution from West Grey Council authorizing Councillor Hamilton to sit on an FCM committee and confirming West Grey’s willingness to incur the cost of for attending meetings which are scheduled for September 2021 (virtual), November 2021 (virtual or Ottawa), and March 2022 (virtual or Windsor);

    Whereas West Grey has a bylaw which provides financial support for professional development;

    Therefore be it resolved that the Council of the Municipality of West Grey hereby supports Councillor Hamilton’s FCM standing committee application and supports covering the expenses incurred for attending the meetings as part of the annual professional development allowance.

  • Recommendation:

    That the Council of the Municipality of West Grey does now go into a closed session at _____ a.m./p.m., with the CAO, Director of Administration/Clerk, Director of Finance/Treasurer and Legislative Coordinator for the purpose of addressing matters related to a proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the municipality.

  • Recommendation:

    That we do now adjourn at _____ a.m., to meet again on August 3, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. or at the call of the chair.
